Shakava now signs a two year contract with Zambia powerhouse

Gor Mahia has suffered another massive blow following the departure of their roving captain Harun Shakava who has signed a two years deal with Zambian top-tier side Nkana FC.

Gor Mahia C.E.O Omondi Aduda was quoted late last week denying rumours  Shakava has left the club and even insisted he was training with the team

The Former Kakamega Homeboys central defender has been training with Nkana for a week now as negotiations between the two clubs was shaping up.Shakava finally put pen to paper on Thursday morning at the club offices to rubber stamp his official move.

Contacted,Aduda averred that negotiations are still going  on between the two clubs  adding that Gor Mahia has never blocked any player wishing to pursue  for greener pastures.’If he has officially signed with the Zambian team,we cannot stop him and considering his  contract was almost ending, he is  a free agent.We just wish him  good luck” Observed Aduda.

Shakava had four months left on his contract .He was resourceful for the club in the just ended regional Cecafa/Kagame Cup held in Rwanda where  they reached the quarter finals.The Zambian  club  is believed to have  parted with Ksh.1 million to secure his services.

Shakava will not be lonely in the club as he will join his former club and National team mate Musa Mohamed.

Other players  who have left Gor Mahia after their contracts  ended include Jacques Tuyisenge who has joined Petro Atletico of Angola,George Blackberry(Tusker) and Francis Kahata to Simba SC of Tanzania among other key players.
